Tom Saskowski ranks as one of the best pass receivers in UWEC history.  A 6-1, 215-pound tight end who caught passes from Kevin Bohlig and Jess Cole, Saskowski held the school records for passes caught in a single season, receiving yards in both a season and career and TD receptions in both a season and career when he graduated. A former St. Francis (Wisconsin) High School First Team All-State receiver, Saskowski was the Blugold team MVP in 1984, his senior season, as the Blugolds completed one of the best four-year runs in school history under Coach Link Walker.  During Saskowski’s career, the Blugolds produced a 26-6 conference mark with two league titles and a 31-10 overall record. Saskowski led the WSUC in pass receiving in 1984 with 46 catches for 817 yards and 10 TDs in eight games while ranking second in league scoring. At the time of his induction, his season TD total of 12 that year still stood as the school record for TD receptions while his yardage total of 971 that year was second. His 19 career TD receptions ranked second as did his career total of 2,232 yards. As a result of his record-setting production in 1984, Saskowski was named to the All-Conference and NAIA All-District 14 First Teams and the NAIA All-America Second Team.

At the time of his induction, Saskowski was a Project Manager in Global Information Systems for Harley-Davidson Motor Company where he had been employed since 1997. His first two positions, after his graduation from UWEC, were as a programmer analyst at Jacobus Company (1987-89) and a systems analyst at Rite-Hite Corporation (1989-97).
