Athletic Communications Department
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Athletic Communications Department oversees all media relations, publicity and promotional efforts for the Blugolds’ athletic programs. As part of the university's communications team, we provide comprehensive coverage of student-athletes, coaches, and teams. Our responsibilities include managing the official athletics website, compiling statistics at home events, coordinating press releases, and maintaining historical records. Additionally, we produce digital content, handle photography and videography needs, and assist with social media engagement for Blugold Athletics.
All media inquiries and interview requests should be directed to the Athletic Communications Department. We strive to accommodate all requests in a timely manner.

Photographers and Videographers
For the safety of all participants and compliance with university policies, only authorized personnel are permitted on the playing surface at all UW-Eau Claire athletic facilities. For indoor events, photographers and videographers are prohibited from entering restricted areas, including player benches and official scorer locations.
Visiting Sports Information Directors must request media access for photographers and videographers affiliated with their institution by contacting the UW-Eau Claire Athletic Communications Department in a timely manner before an event.
Parents and other spectators are not permitted on the playing surface at any time.

Athletics Media Policy
Interview Requests
All interviews with UW-Eau Claire student-athletes, coaches, and administrators must be arranged through the Athletic Communications Department. Requests should be submitted in a timely manner to avoid conflicts with academic schedules and team obligations.

Postgame Interviews
All postgame interviews must be coordinated through the UW-Eau Claire Athletic Department. Locker rooms are closed to all media and a brief cooling-off period will be enforced following each event. After this period, the head coach and requested players will be available for interviews. Requests for visiting coaches and players should be directed to their respective media relations team.

Press Credentials
Press and photographer credentials will be issued to members of the working media only. Requests for press passes must be made in a timely manner before a scheduled event. Press passes will be available for pickup at the ticket office or media entrance on game day.

Media Access Guidelines
Per NCAA regulations, media members must remain outside team bench areas and the official scorer’s zone. Photographers must stay mobile, avoid obstructing gameplay, and refrain from using tripods or flash photography indoors. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a professional media environment.
