UWEC Athletics Hall of Fame
A three-time NAIA national diving champion, Kim Hubbard helped the Blugolds to back-to-back national team championships and four conference titles during her career which spanned the 1985 to 1989 seasons. She was the NAIA diver of the year in both 1988 and 1989, winning the one-meter crown both years and the three-meter title in 1989. She was featured in Sports Illustrated's Faces in the Crowd on April 18, 1988 following her national championship. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in 1990, Hubbard coached diving at Eau Claire Memorial High School for two years, then spent five years coaching swimming and diving at Osceola High School in Florida. She also coached diving for the Team Orlando club and coached swimming at Wilkinson Junior High in Middleburg, Florida. She was a three-time Swimming Coach of the Year at Osceola. She taught the elementary grades for five years in Kissimmee, Florida and at the time of her induction had taught one year at Orange Park, Florida. She spent a great deal of time and effort in the advancement of wellness and healthy lifestyles and the development of physical education curriculum. She is certified as a First Responder, in Sports Medicine and as an American Council on Exercise Personal Trainer. At the time of her induction, she and her husband Charles were parents of two children.
