UWEC Athletics Hall of Fame
Mary Robertson was a member of the prestigious Blugold swimming and diving team from 1981 to 1984 and from 1985 to 1986. She was an NAIA All-American four times from 1982 to 1986 and was a member of the Blugold team that won the NAIA Championship in 1983. A two-time team captain, Robertson was also an NAIA Academic All-American in 1983. She won individual WWIAC championships in the 1650-yard freestyle, 200-yard butterfly and 400-yard individual medley in 1984 and won the 400 IM again in 1985. Robertson was also a member of four conference championship teams while at Eau Claire and set school records in five events. A 1981 graduate of Waukesha South High School, Ponasik received her bachelor's degree from UWEC in 1986. At the time of her induction, she was the mother of two and living with her husband in Antigo.
