UWEC Athletics Hall of Fame
Karen Luterbach was a member of the Blugold swimming and diving team from 1980 to 1982. During her years at UWEC, the women's team captured the WWIAC championship three times. She earned NAIA All-American honors each year on the team and was a national champion on the 3-meter board in 1982. Luterbach was Blugold co-MVP in 1982 and represented UWEC as team captain in 1981 and 1982. She earned All-Conference honors three years and claimed the conference championship on the 1-meter board in 1981 and the 3-meter board the next year. A 1979 graduate of Brookfield Central High School, Luterbach earned her bachelor's degree from UWEC in 1983. She has coached diving in the Elmbrook and New Berlin School Districts and at the time of her induction was a licensed real estate broker working as a property manager.
