Tom Jackson was a four-year starter during the first four years of Ken Anderson's tenure as Blugold head coach. Sometimes considered the greatest era in Blugold basketball history, the Blugolds produced a 93-14 record during those years of 1968 through 1972, winning three conference championships and making three trips to the NAIA Nationals in Kansas City. Jackson started alongside James Lindsey, Frank Schade, Steve Johnson and Mike Ratliff as the Blugolds went 24-2, 26-2 and 29-2 in consecutive years, finishing runner-up in the 1972 NAIA Nationals. With the caliber of his teammates, Jackson was unable to crack the All-Conference team but received Honorable Mention four straight years. He averaged 11.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per game for his career, scoring 1,144 points and grabbing 728 rebounds. Since he graduated in 1972, Jackson has spent the past 22 years as Youth Director, Physical Director or Executive Director of YMCAs in Marion, Ohio; Lansing, Michigan and Wausau. At the time of his induction, he was Executive Director of the Wausau YMCA. Jackson has received the National YMCA Award for Administration Excellence. He was an agency representative for the United Way of Marathon County Board of Directors and secretary-treasurer of the Wausau YMCA Foundation Board of Directors. He also served on the Wausau Hospital Consumer Council Board.
