STEVENS POINT, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's and women's diving teams opened up action at the Point Invite on Friday at the UWSP Aquatics Center. The Blugolds, who are only competing in diving events at the meets, got a runner-up finish from
Blake Wallen (So. - Savage, Minn./Prior Lake) to highlight the first day of the meet.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wallen placed second in the men's one-meter competition. He scored a 456.90, far exceeding his seed score of 418.00.
- Jordan Kuhn (Jr. - Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha West) was the top performer for UW-Eau Claire in the women's three-meter event. She scored a 351.35 to place sixth.
- Ella Josephs (So. - Plymouth, Wis.) placed 10th in the women's three-meter with a 321.00.
UP NEXT
The meet concludes on Saturday, January 25. The Blugolds will compete in the final two diving events. The meet resumes at 10 a.m.
