MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) announced its Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for the week of Sept. 21-27, with UW-Eau Claire men's soccer player Kyron Pope earning Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week honors. The selection was determined by a vote of WIAC head coaches and sports information directors.

Pope led the Blugolds' offense to a 1-1 week, recording two goals and an assist for five points across two contests. He scored twice in the second half to help UW-Eau Claire rally for a 5-2 comeback victory over Carleton College (Minn.) on Sept. 22.

This is the first time Pope has received WIAC Athlete of the Week honors.

The Blugolds (5-1-2) return to action Tuesday, Sept. 29, hosting Wartburg College at 5 p.m. at Simpson Field.
