MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced the Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for the week of February 2 - 8. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's track and field's Gage Stankiewicz has been named the Men's Field Athlete of the Week by anonymous vote of WIAC head coaches and Sports Information Directors.

Stankiewicz won both shot and weight throw at the UW-La Crosse Mark Guthrie Invitational on Feb. 7. His shot put mark of 60-5 (18.41m) earned him first overall out of 28 competitors and sits as the top distance in the WIAC and second longest throw of all Division III this season. During the weight throw, Stankiewicz captured another first-place finish with his throw of 61-7 3/4 (18.79m) that ranks fourth in the WIAC and 10th in Division III.
