PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire placed third overall at the WIAC Championships, highlighted by first-place finishes in the men's 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:18.61 and the men's shot put with a throw of 17.91 meters by
Gage Stankiewicz.
Hurdles
Blake Postler secured 2nd place in the 60 Meter Hurdles Finals with a time of 8.03.
Tyler Botz followed closely, finishing 3rd in 8.11.
Daylan Berger took 7th place, clocking in at 8.54.
Jumps
Jace Stolte placed 6th in the Long Jump with a mark of 6.98m.
Throws
Gage Stankiewicz won the Shot Put with a throw of 17.91m.
Soren Johnson placed 4th, recording a distance of 16.69m. In the Weight Throw, Stankiewicz also secured 6th place with a throw of 18.16m.
Relays
The 4x400 Meter Relay team, comprising
Cameron Pease, Nick Odom,
Fischer Wait, and Postler, claimed 1st place with a time of 3:18.61.
The Blugolds will have one more meet before the NCAA Indoor Championships as they travel to La Crosse, Wis. for the UWL Last Chance Meet on Saturday, March 7. First events are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
