KANSASVILLE, Wis. — UW-Eau Claire's women's golf team secured a fourth-place finish at the Midwest Region Classic, posting a team score of 320 (+32) at Brighton Dale Links. Tally Schlindwein led the Blugolds with a tie for 11th place, carding a 77 (+5) in the first round.

The event, held on Friday at Brighton Dale Links, saw the team navigate the par 72, 5,637-yard course with consistency. Schlindwein delivered a commendable performance, tying for 11th place with a round of 77 (+5), while Elizabeth Hermann also contributed significantly by tying for 19th with a score of 79 (+7). The team's overall performance placed them just ahead of Carthage College by one stroke and within striking distance of the top three teams, including the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, who finished at 316 (+28).

The Blugolds will take the following weekend off to prepare for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament beginning Friday, October 3. The three day tournament is held at the Reedsburg Country Club and with tee times beginning at 11 a.m. on Friday.
