WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire competed in the Rumble at the Ridge, where its players, including junior
Elizabeth Hermann, faced challenging rounds against Gustavus Adolphus, St. Catherine, and Bethel (MN).
In the match against Gustavus,
Elizabeth Hermann and Lily Kaminski were victorious in their duals. Hermann defeated GAC's E. Kolb by a 4&3 result. Kaminski followed that up with a 4&2 victory over the Gusties' R. Zebroski. Despite the Blugold pairing scoring three points for the team, UWEC fell to Gustavus, 6.5-3.
Against the St. Catherine Wildcats,
Bri Novak was victorious over St. Kate's S. Dodds by a score of 3&1.
Emily Utter was the other Blugold competitor against the Wildcats as Utter fell to K. Hanson by a 3&1 as UW-Eau Claire ultimately fell, 4-3.
In the final matchup against Bethel University, the Blugolds fell 4-3 as
Lainey Eddicus and
Bailey Eddicus were defeated by 9&8 and 5&4, respectively.
Claire Stoffel also faced off for UWEC against the Royals but came up short against L. Vernon by a 4&2.
The Blugolds will be back on the road on Sunday, April 26 when they travel to The Golf Club at Cedar Creek in Onalaska, Wis. to face UW-La Crosse. Tee times are set to begin at 11 a.m.
