MENOMONIE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team finished in fourth place at the UW-Stout Spring Invite on Sunday at Tanglewood Greens. In their final tournament of the season, the Blugolds recorded their best finish of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- UW-Eau Claire shot a collective 52 over par. UW-Stout and UW-Whitewater topped the team leaderboard, both at 32 over par.
- Gillian Johnson (Jr. – Hayward, Wis.) and Lilly Kaminski (So. – Green Bay, Wis./Denmark) were the top Blugolds on the individual leaderboard. They both carded 81s to tie for ninth place.
- Elizabeth Hermann (So. – Macomb Township, Mich./Dakota) and Bri Novak (Jr. – Red Wing, Minn.) tied for 31st. They both scored an 87.
- Riane Hayden tied for 51st with a 94.
The Blugolds ended their season on a high note. Of the four tournaments they played in that featured 10-plus teams this season, their fourth-place finish on Sunday was the best of the bunch.
