EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (ww.blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team held the annual Georgianni Invitation at home over the weekend at The Valley golf course on Saturday and the Eau Claire Golf and Country Club on Sunday. The Blugolds placed 4
th out of 5 teams with a total score of 707 strokes.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lilly Kaminski (So. – Green Bay, Wis.) led UW-Eau Claire with a two-round total of 168 strokes and a tie for fourth place individually. Kaminski was tied for the lead after the opening day after shooting just nine over par.
- Elizabeth Hermann (So. – Macomb Township, Mich.) tied for ninth overall with 175 strokes on the weekend. Hermann bounced back on day two with a round of 82 out at the Country Club.
- Olivai McSorley (Sr. – Elm Grove, Wis.) and Bri Novak (Jr. – Red Wing, Minn.) were the two other Blugolds to break 90 with a pair of 89's on day one.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Blugolds will jump back on the road on Saturday, September 14
th for a two-day tournament at UW-La Crosse. The UWL Invite is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday at The Golf Club at Cedar Creek in Onalaska, Wis.
