HAM LAKE, Minn. (www.blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team kicked off their 2024-25 season on Saturday with the Augsburg Fall Invite at the Majestic Oaks Golf Course. After being tied for second at the conclusion of round one, the Blugolds held strong just one shot behind the top team with a total of 14 over par and a 2^nd place finish.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Corey Boerner (Sr. – Bloomington, Minn.) was the individual runner up on the weekend after shooting an even par 72 one day one and a +2 74 on day two.
• Nick Amtmann (Sr. – Nashotah, Wis.) finished tied for 7^th overall with shooting +7 during the invite.
• Ben Pausha (Jr. – Delafield, Wis.) tied for 10^th with a two-round total of 152 strokes.
• The Eau Claire B team finished 6^th overall and were led by Sophomore transfer Blu Anderson (So. – Amery, Wis.) who also tied for 7^th overall.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Blugolds will be back on the course on September 7^th and 8^th for the Minnesota Golf Classic. Round one from the Pioneer Creek Golf Course in Maple Plain, Minn. is set for a 2 p.m. start on Saturday.
