DESTIN, Fla. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire secured an 11th-place finish at the Golfweek October Classic at Sandestin Resort, with a total team score of 874 (+22).
Cameron Stenzel led the team, tying for 13th individually with a final round of 69 (-2).
The Blugolds finished 11th at the Golfweek October Classic with a cumulative score of 874 (+22). The team's consistent improvement was evident, particularly in the final round where they shot a 279 (-5), marking their best performance of the tournament. Stenzel was a standout performer, tying for 13th place individually with a final score of 214 (+1). His steady play included rounds of 72 (+1), 73 (+2), and a low of 69 (-2) in the final round.
Spencer Lynch also delivered a noteworthy performance, tying for 19th place with a total score of 216 (+3). After a difficult second round of 77 (+6), Lynch rebounded strongly with a 67 (-4) in the final round, the lowest round of any Blugold player.
Drew Maglio contributed significantly as well, finishing tied for 30th with a score of 219 (+6), highlighted by an even-par 71 in the final round. The team demonstrated resilience and potential with their strong closing round at the Sandestin Resort & Club.
