LA CROSSE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire secured multiple top placements at the UW-La Crosse Phil Esten Challenge, highlighted by
Bella Hooker's victory in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:32.90 and
Anna Thaler's win in the triple jump with a mark of 11.80 meters.
Sprints
Allyson Kakes placed 6th in the Women's 100 Meters finals with a time of 12.28. In the 200 Meters, Kakes secured 2nd place with a time of 24.24.
Middle Distance
Lauren Jex finished 8th in the Women's 800 Meters with a time of 2:17.52.
Distance
Bella Hooker won the Women's 1500 Meters with a time of 4:32.90. In the 10,000 Meters,
Molly Heidorn placed 3rd with a time of 36:19.39.
Hurdles
Michaela Dick secured 3rd place in the Women's 400 Hurdles with a time of 1:02.54.
Jumps
Anna Thaler won the Women's Triple Jump with a mark of 11.80m.
Laura Bertrang placed 6th in the High Jump, clearing 1.60m.
Throws
Laure Bertrang took 1st place in the Women's Javelin with a throw of 40.10m.
Amaria Kejo placed 5th in the Shot Put with a mark of 13.26m.
Heptathlon
Lauren Dimler finished 2nd in the Women's Heptathlon with 4992 points.
The Blugolds will continue their Outdoor season next weekend when they hit the road for the Drake Relays on April 24 and 25. UW-Eau Claire will also host the Dick & Mary Johnson Invitational on Saturday, April 25 at Simpson Field. First events are scheduled to begin at 12 p.m.
