LA CROSSE, Wis. & WAVERLY, Iowa — UW Eau-Claire secured multiple event wins at the UW-La Crosse NCAA Indoor Final Qualifier, highlighted by first-place finishes from
Allyson Kakes in the 200 meters and
Kylee Grabarski in the 400 meters. Additionally, the team continued to excel at the Wartburg Qualifier, with
Molly Heidorn finishing second in the Women's 3000 Meters and the DMR team setting a program record.
Sprints
In the Women's 60 Meters finals at the UW-La Crosse meet,
Hope Schueller placed third with a time of 7.73, while Kakes finished sixth in 7.77. At the Wartburg Qualifier,
Annabelle Eaton placed 11th in the Women's 400 Meters with a time of 59.46.
Middle Distance
In the Women's 400 Meters at UW-La Crosse, Grabarski claimed first place with a time of 57.44.
Paige Morrell finished seventh in the Women's 800 Meters at the same event, recording a time of 2:26.22. Meanwhile, at Wartburg,
Lauren Jex finished 15th in the Women's 800 Meters with a time of 2:16.59.
Distance
At the Wartburg Qualifier, in the Women's 3000 Meters,
Molly Heidorn secured 2nd place with a time of 9:53.37, while
Keeley Behr followed in 3rd place at 10:07.14.
Hurdles
In the Women's 60 Hurdles finals at UW-La Crosse,
Lauren Dimler finished sixth with a time of 9.12. No results were reported for hurdles at the Wartburg Qualifier.
Jumps
Laura Bertrang topped the Women's High Jump at UW-La Crosse with a mark of 1.71m. In the Women's Triple Jump,
Anna Thaler secured fourth place with a mark of 11.68m. No results were reported for jumps at the Wartburg Qualifier.
Throws
In the Women's Shot Put at UW-La Crosse,
Ava Webster took second place with a mark of 13.55m, while
Kayla Behnke followed in third with 13.28m. Behnke also excelled in the Women's Weight Throw, winning the event with a mark of 18.98m. No results were reported for throws at the Wartburg Qualifier.
Relay
The distance medley relay squad of
Bella Hooker,
Annabelle Eaton,
Lauren Jex, and
Molly Heidorn set a program record down in Wartburg. The Blugolds smashed the previous record set in 2010 with a final time of 11:47.72.
Looking ahead, UW-Eau Claire will await the list of competitors for the 2026 NCAA Track & Field Indoor Championships to be announced on Sunday, March 8 on NCAA.com. The two-day championship will be held in Birmingham, Ala. on March 13 and 14 at the Birmingham Cross Plex.
