PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire secured second place with 109.25 points at the WIAC Championship at Williams Fieldhouse, highlighted by
Kayla Behnke's 19.43-meter win in the weight throw.
Sprints
Hope Schueller secured 6th place in the 60 Meter Dash Finals with a time of 7.75. In the preliminaries, Schueller placed 7th with 7.70, followed by
Allyson Kakes in 9th at 7.75.
Distance
Bella Hooker achieved 2nd place in the 1 Mile Run, clocking in at 5:02.00.
Molly Heidorn and
Keeley Behr took 2nd and 3rd places in the 3000 Meter Run with times of 10:01.87 and 10:10.93, respectively.
Hurdles
Lauren Dimler finished 7th in the 60 Meter Hurdles with a time of 9.16.
Jumps
Anna Thaler placed 4th in the Triple Jump with a distance of 11.29m.
Throws
Kayla Behnke won the Weight Throw with a distance of 19.43m.
Kendall Thurston placed 5th in the same event, throwing 17.20m.
Relays
Kylee Grabarski,
Mya Cinnamo,
Lauren Dimler, and
McKenzie Kruse placed 2nd in the 4x400 with a final time of 3:51.90.
Multis
Brooklyn Lamers placed 2nd in the pentathlon with 3,454 points with an event win in the high jump and a second place finish in the 60m hurdles.
The Blugolds will have one more meet before the NCAA Indoor Championships as they travel to La Crosse, Wis. for the UWL Last Chance Meet on Saturday, March 7. First events are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
