MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced the Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for the week of Januray 19-25. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's hockey's Adrienne Hansen has been named the Women's Hockey Athlete of the Week by anonymous vote of WIAC head coaches and Sports Information Directors.

Hansen recorded a four-point weekend as the Blugolds completed the regular-season sweep of UW-Superior. After assisting UW-Eau Claire's second goal of the game on Jan. 23, Hansen extended the Blugolds' lead to 3-1 in the second period with her eighth goal of the season. On Jan. 24, Hansen recorded her ninth and 10th goals of the season as she opened the scoring in the first period for UW-Eau Claire just three minutes into the game. Adrienne tallied her eighth multi-point game of the year with her second goal of the game in the second period, helping the Blugolds post the 5-0 victory.
