AURORA, Ill. | STEVENS POINT, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's track and field teams were on the road for the first time 2026 with meets in Wisconsin and Illinois at the Aurora Grand Prix and the UW-Stevens Point Triangular. The Blugolds recorded eight event winners between the two sites.
During the UWSP Triangular, the track team took top spots in the 600-meter race and the 4x400-meter relay.
Lauren Jex finished first in the 600m with a final time of 1:40.76. The Blugolds' relay squad of
Danielle Casey,
Lauren Jex,
Paige Morrell, and
Lucy Cler also finished first with a final time of 4:14.75, beating the four other relay squads.
The field team captured three event wins on the day as
Ava Webster held the top throw in the shot put with her distance of 12.35 meters (40-06.25).
Anna Thaler tallied the 15
th highest Division III distance this season with her first place finish in the triple jump at 11.26 meters (36-11.50).
Kayla Behnke took the top spot in the weight throw with the third furthest throw this season in Division III with a distance of 18.94 meters (62-01.75).
Down in Illinois, four Blugolds finished with top 3 placements.
Lauren Dimler set a personal best in the 60-meter hurdles with a second-place finish in 9.33 seconds.
Allyson Kakes tallied a season best in the 200-meter race with a third-place finish in 25.48 seconds.
Kylee Grabarski finished third overall in the 400-meter race with a season best 57.96 seconds.
Lauren Dimler set a personal best at 5.68 meters, earning her a third-place placement in the long jump.
The Blugolds will be back on the road on Friday and Saturday January 30 and 31 when they travel to UW-Stout for the Warren Bowlus Open. Friday's events are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
