MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced the Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for the week of Januray 12-18. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's track and field's Kayla Behnke has been named the Women's Track and Field Athlete of the Week by anonymous vote of WIAC head coaches and Sports Information Directors.

As the Blugolds kicked off their 2026 campaign, Behnke had a strong performance at the annual Alumni Meet and UW-River Falls Dual. She took first in the weight throw with a distance of 59-10 1/2 (18.25m), which currently tops the WIAC ranks and is second in all of Division III.
