LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced the 383 student athletes who were named to the 2025 NFCA Division III All-Region teams. UW-Eau Claire's
Paige Lathrop,
Molly Marquardt,
Kenna Strunsee, and
Brooklyn Swanepoel all received honors.
Lathrop, Marquardt, and Strunsee were all named to the Region VIII Second Team and Swanepoel was named to the Region VIII Third Team.
Lathrop, an outfielder, held the second highest team batting average at .442 this season and ranks fourth on the squad with 27 RBI. She has 26 stolen bases from 30 attempts.
Marquardt, who plays third base, hit for .399 this spring and has a school record 24 doubles this season. She also has a team-high seven home runs and 51 RBI. She held a slugging percentage of .739 with a total of 32 extra-base hits.
Strunsee, an outfielder, hit for .419 and led the team with 55 runs scored. She also held a team-high 33 steals and was caught stealing once this season. She has the second-most doubles on the squad with ten.
Swanepoel, a shortstop, held a team-high .446 batting average this season and tallies the second highest OPS on the team with a 1.050 this season. She also ranked third on the team with 32 runs scored.
UW-Eau Claire was one of eight schools to have four players recognized.
The awards honor student-athletes from the Association's 10 regions with selection to one of three teams. NFCA member head coaches nominate and then vote for the winners in their respective region.
All honorees move forward to be considered for selection for the three NFCA Division III All-America squads, which will be announced May 28 online and on-site at the NCAA Division III Finals banquet in Bloomington, Ill.
