ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's and women's track and field teams pursued national-qualifying times at a pair of last-chance meets on Wednesday and Thursday. The Blugolds had competitors at Augustana's Midwest Twilight Final Qualifier and UW-La Crosse's Final Qualifier.
It was a strong performance for the Blugold men in the 400-meter hurdles, with
Blake Postler (Fr. – Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest) and
Daylan Berger (Jr. – Wheeling, Ill.) both breaking the school record. Postler established the program's new all-time mark with a run of 52.04 seconds, while Berger had a record-breaking run of 52.40 seconds. Both were better than the previous top mark of 52.46 set earlier this season..
