NEW ORLEANS — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire assistant track and field coach Paul Conlin was named the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Outdoor National Assistant Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Tuesday.

Conlin completed his 29th season as a Blugold assistant coach this spring. He coached the Blugold men's throwers to two national titles and six All-America honors at the Division III Outdoor Championships this season. Adam Strouf (Sr. - Rice Lake, Wis.) was the shot put national champion and Yakob Ekoue (Sr. - Hopkins, Minn.) won a second consecutive discus national title.

Conlin's athletes combined for 36 of the Blugold men's 56 points at the NCAA Championships, helping the team finish as national runner-up. His throwers tallied 65 points at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships.

Conlin is the second coach in program history to earn the award. Dan Schwamberger was the national assistant coach of the year in 2019.
