NEW ORLEANS — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's and women's track and field teams both earned academic distinction from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for 2025. The USTFCCCA announced its academic awards Tuesday.
Adam Strouf (Sr. - Rice Lake, Wis.) was named the Division III men's indoor Field Scholar Athlete of the Year to highlight the long list of honorees for the Blugolds. Strouf was named a first team Academic All-American last week and followed with the top scholar award from the coaches association for the indoor season.
Collectively, both the UW-Eau Claire men and women were named All-Academic teams by the USTFCCCA. The women sported a 3.59 grade-point average while the men carried a 3.15. To earn the award, a team must have had a collective GPA of 3.10 or better.
Individually, 35 Blugolds were named All-Academic Athletes. To earn the distinction, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.30 GPA and either finished the season ranked in the top 50 of an event, competed at an NCAA Championship meet, or ranked in the top 35 of a relay.
