AUBURNDALE, Fla. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire baseball team defeated Framingham State 18-8 in seven innings in its final game at the RussMatt Invitational on Saturday at Lake Myrtle Park.
Drew Salyers (Sr. - Centennial, Colo./Arapahoe) tied the program record for hits in a single game as the Blugolds cruised to victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED

- The six-run fifth saw the Blugolds send eight batters to the plate before making an out. Carter Vieth (Fr. - Elk Mound, Wis.) drove in two runs in the frame and Salyers added an RBI double.
- Salyers hit a pair of doubles and stole two bases.
- Austin Buck (Jr. - Afton, Minn./Stillwater) went 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored. He also stole two bases.
