EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's basketball player
Carter Huschka (Sr. – Farmington, Minn.) picked up a pair of regional accolades for the 2024-25 season on Tuesday.
Huschka was named to the D3hoops.com All-Region 9 first team and the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 9 second team. Huschka was a third team all-region pick by D3hoops.com last season, while this is the first all-district honor he has received from the NABC.
He is the first Blugold men's basketball player to earn first team all-region or all-district honors since Dan Beyer in 2008.
Huschka, a forward, led the Blugolds in scoring with 19.0 points per game this season. He also ranked second on the team with 8.1 rebounds per game. He ranked second in the WIAC in scoring average and third in both rebounding and blocks per game (1.2). Huschka was a two-time WIAC Kwik Trip Athlete of the Week this season and landed on the D3hoops.com Team of the Week once. He had seven double-doubles this season and averaged 20.5 points and 8.6 rebounds per contest in eight games against Top 25 opponents.
