LA CROSSE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Mark Guthrie Legacy Invitational on Saturday at UW-La Crosse. The Blugolds had a standout day in the throwing events, continuing a trend across the early indoor season.
Kayla Behnke (Sr. - Appleton, Wis./Kimberly) won a pair of throwing events to lead the Blugold women, while
Adam Strouf (Sr. - Rice Lake, Wis.) added a shot put victory for the men.
Individual event winners

- Behnke — shot put (13.38 meters), weight throw (18.34 meters)
- Men
- Strouf — shot put (17.59 meters — second-best throw in Division III this season)
UW-Eau Claire also had a handful of top-three finishers:
Emilee Booker (Sr. - Genoa City, Wis./Badger) in the women's 60-meter hurdles,
Allyson Kakes (So. - Two Rivers, Wis.) in the women's 200-meter dash,
Connor Jankuski (Jr. - Glenbeulah, Wis./Plymouth) in the men's 200-meter dash,
Laura Bertrang (So. - New Ulm, Minn.) in the women's high jump,
Wes Keller (Sr. - Richland Center, Wis.) in the men's high jump and
Teagan Jones (Sr. - Lake Zurich, Ill.) in the women's weight throw.
