EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's soccer team announced its team award winners at its year-end banquet last weekend.
Savannah Swopes was named Team MVP, and Defensive Player of the Year. Swopes stabilized the backfield playing 1226 minutes on the year. She was occasionally involved offensively as well with 3 shots on goal and was a contributing factor to three clean sheets for the Blugolds.
Mikalyn Hidde was named Offensive Player of the Year. Hidde scored 2 goals, with one being a game winner, and tallied 3 assists totaling 7 points throughout the season. She also put up 15 shots on goal and played 1023 minuted.
Maria Alice Jannuzzi was named Practice Player of the Year.
Abby Beal is this season's Most Improved Player.
Olivia Lukrafka Varassin earned Rookie of the Year honors.
Haley Von Rentzell was picked as the team's Playmaker of the Year.
Lisette Thurman won the Golden Shoe as the team's unsung hero.
Ava Glenn won the Glory for Lori Excellence Award.
Anna Lorenzana was this year's Competitive Cauldron champion.
