EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's soccer team announced its team award winners at its year-end banquet over the weekend.
Molly Henderson (Sr. – Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) was named Team MVP. She led the team with six goals and four assists this season, tallying a team-high 16 points.
Paige Crawford (Jr. – Elk River, Minn.) was selected as the team's Defensive Player of the Year. She started all 21 games and helped the Blugolds post eight shutouts.
Elise Pinewski (Sr. – Anoka, Minn.) was named Offensive Player of the Year. She had four goals and three assists for a total of 11 points.
Taylor Bembnister (So. – Holmen, Wis.) was named Practice Player of the Year.
Grace Prairie (Jr. – Blaine, Minn./Centennial) is this season's Most Improved Player.
Johanna Thompson (Fr. – Green Bay, Wis./Preble) and
Emma Donovan (So. – Hazel Green, Wis./Wahlert Catholic) shared Rookie of the Year honors.
Haley Von Rentzell (Jr. – Chanhassen, Minn.) was picked as the team's Playmaker of the Year.
Vanessa Grunwald (Sr. – Suamico, Wis./Pulaski) won the Golden Shoe as the team's unsung hero.
Kennedy Boll (Sr. – Franklin, Wis.) won the Glory for Lori Excellence Award.
Sophie Hubbard (Sr. – De Pere, Wis.) was this year's Competitive Cauldron champion.
