EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire track and field teams had competitors at the Eagle Open (UW-La Crosse) and Dr. Keeler Invite (North Central) on Friday, with several Blugolds turning in strong performances.

At North Central, Morgan Marek (Sr. – Muskego, WI) and Michelle Hirsch (Fr. – Brookfield, WI/Central) competed in the 1,500m run, with Marek placing seventh (4:35.61) and Hirsch was 27th (4:53.10).
In the 800m, Hanna Reed (Sr. – Fort Atkinson, WI) finished 26th with a time of 2:18.81 while Hannah Lamack (So. – Kewaunee, WI) was 20th in the 3K steeplechase (11:27.04).
For the men, Will Ullrich (So. – Oconomowoc, WI) clocked in at 1:57.02 in the 800m while Alex Winn (Jr. – Kingston, WA) finished with a time of 9:37.28 in the 3K steeplechase.

The Blugolds will have one more week of Last Chance meets, with some Blugolds competing at the La Crosse Last Chance and other at the Augustana Last Chance on Thursday, May 16th. The NCAA Division III National meet will take place the following week, May 23-25 at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
