Men's Track Takes Fifth at Oshkosh Invite

OSHKOSH, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire men's outdoor track and field team placed fifth out of seven teams in Saturday's Oshkosh Invite at J.J. Keller Field.

The team came away with several top finishers in the meet.

In the 110 meter hurdles, Patrick Keyes (Jr.-Ham Lake, Minn./Blaine) placed second with a time of 15.13. In the triple jump, Keegan Parrott (Fr.-Waunakee, Wis.) placed second with a leap of 13.35 meters (43-9.75), while Grant Haugan (Sr.-Green Bay, Wis./Ashwaubenon) took third with a jump of 13.23 meters (43-5).

The men's 4x400 meter relay team ran away with first place honors, with a time of 3:26.06.

The Blugolds next compete in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Outdoor Championship in River Falls, Wis. The two-day event is scheduled to begin on Friday, May 7 at noon.
