Men's Track And Field Participates In Madison Twilight

MADISON, Wis. - The UW-Eau Claire men's track and field team took part in the UW-Madison Twilight on Saturday at the Dan McClimon Memorial Track/Soccer Complex.

The Blugolds' 4x400-meter relay team of Tim Braunschweig (Jr.-Mukwonago, Wis.), Josh Prince (Fr.-Chippewa Falls, Wis.), Chris Kupfer (Sr.-Germantown, Wis.) and Patrick Mackin (Fr.-Green Bay, Wis./Notre Dame Academy) had the best finish for the men as they took second with a time of 3:17.18.

Wes Fischer (Jr.-Rosemount, Minn.) had the best individual finish as he took third in 800-meter run with a time of 1:51.79, an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time and one of the best times in the nation this season.

Also finishing third on the day was the 4x100-meter relay team of Kupfer, Frankie Adams (Sr.-Burnsville, Minn.), Justin Janke (Jr.-Black River Falls, Wis.) and Logan Koerten (So.-Plover, Wis./SPASH) as it finished the event with a time of 42.66.

Up next the Blugolds will have one final meet before the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship in Marietta, Ohio in two weeks. This Thursday Eau Claire will compete at the UW-La Crosse Last Chance meet.
