Why did you choose UW-Eau Claire?
"I chose Eau Claire not only because of the culture of the Volleyball team, but the academics as well. Although most universities have a Biology major, the focus that the department has towards student success is something that really drew me in, along with the construction of the new science building that grants me opportunities that not many other schools could offer. Aside from the classroom, the Volleyball team culture is unlike anything I've ever been a part of. The peer motivation in the weight room and on the court is the competitiveness I was looking for. But this team also does work for the community whether it be volunteering, or hosting tournaments for local players. I believe this is why Blugold Volleyball has the support it does and is why I can invest my time in something bigger than myself. I knew this place would be my home, and this team would be my family. Not a day goes by that I question this is where I am supposed to be."
Why did you choose to play Division III?
"I chose to play Division III because it allows me to devote my time to my academics and growing the life skills I need to succeed beyond my sport. It also allows me to be a part of a team to represent a school I am proud to attend."
Who is your role model/mentor?
"My role model is my Dad. He is important to me because he has taught me that it is okay to be vulnerable, but to also speak up for the things I believe. He constantly demonstrates selflessness and is the reason for my discipline and motivation. I could never thank him enough for the things he's taught me and everything he's done for me."
