LA CROSSE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire secured multiple top finishes on Friday at the UW-La Crosse Ashton May Invitational, highlighted by first-place performances from
Reilly Templeton in the men's 200 meters,
Fischer Wait in the 400 meters, and
Tyler Botz in the 110 hurdles.
Sprints
Reilly Templeton secured a strong finish in the Men's 100 Meters, placing 3rd with a time of 10.79. He excelled in the Men's 200 Meters, finishing 1st with a time of 21.42. Nick Odom also performed well in the 200 Meters, claiming 2nd place with a time of 22.22.
Middle Distance
In the Men's 800 Meters,
Evan Guenther took 2nd place with a time of 1:59.18.
Distance
Jonah Majerus won the Men's 3000 Steeplechase with a time of 10:27.90.
Noah Larkin followed in 3rd place, finishing in 10:42.85.
Hurdles
Tyler Botz won the Men's 110 Hurdles finals with a time of 14.83. In the 400 Hurdles,
Blake Postler took 1st with a time of 52.07, followed by
Daylan Berger in 2nd at 55.67.
Jumps
Leo Orlikowski placed 3rd in the Men's High Jump with a mark of 1.96m. In the Men's Pole Vault,
Johnny Botsch finished 7th with a mark of 4.55m.
Throws
Jamie Reeve took 1st place in the Men's Javelin with a mark of 51.42m.
Adam Beck achieved 4th place in the Men's Hammer with a mark of 53.70m.
The Blugolds will be back in action on April 10-11 as they travel to Platteville, Wis.for the UW-Platteville Invitational. The hammer throw and 5k's will take place on Friday with the rest of the events kicking off on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
