MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced the Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for the week of April 20 - April 26. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's track and field's Gage Stankiewicz has been named the Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week by anonymous vote of WIAC head coaches and Sports Information Directors.

During the Blugolds' Dick and Mary Johnson Invitational, Stankiewicz took first overall in the shot put with his throw of 59-1 1/4 (18.01m). In the discus, he placed third overall with a throw of 167-5 (51.03m). The throw is third in the WIAC and 14th in NCAA Division III. In the championships division at the Drake Relays, Stankiewicz took third overall in the shot put with his final throw of 65-3 1/4 (18.37m) that currently ranks first in the WIAC and third in NCAA Division III.
