MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced the Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for the week of April 6 - April 12. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire softball's Paige Lathrop has been named the Softball Position Athlete of the Week by anonymous vote of WIAC head coaches and Sports Information Directors.

Lathrop helped the Blugolds go 3-1 on the week as UW-Eau Claire swept University of Northwestern-St. Paul (Minn.) and split with No. 16-ranked UW-Oshkosh. Lathrop went 7-for-12 from the plate, including batting 1.000 against Northwestern in the first game of the non-conference doubleheader. She recorded 5 RBI and a double on the week, while slugging at .667. Lathrop scored four runs and was 100% on steal attempts with her six stolen bases.
