PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire secured multiple victories at the UW-Platteville Invitational, highlighted by first-place finishes in the men's pole vault by
Johnny Botsch with a mark of 4.91 meters and the men's 110 hurdles by
Blake Postler with a time of 14.15 seconds.
Sprints
Bruce Burau,
Jackson Schulz, and Nicholas Luebke placed 4th, 5th, and 7th respectively in the Men's 100 Meters Finals. In the Men's 200 Meters,
Fischer Wait finished 7th with a time of 22.08.
Middle Distance
Jack Wanezek secured a 5th place finish in the Men's 800 Meters with a time of 1:55.48.
Distance
In the Men's 5000 Meter Run,
Andrew Thaler and
Ian Barnes placed 113th and 119th respectively, both finishing under 15 minutes.
Hurdles
Blake Postler won the Men's 110 Hurdles Finals with a time of 14.15, while
Daylan Berger claimed first in the Men's 400 Hurdles, clocking in at 54.39.
Jumps
Johnny Botsch took first place in the Men's Pole Vault with a height of 4.91m.
Jace Stolte won the Men's Long Jump with a mark of 6.87m.
Throws
Gage Stankiewicz won the Men's Shot Put with a throw of 18.29m.
Adam Beck finished 4th in the Men's Hammer with a mark of 53.00m.
The Blugolds will be back in action on Friday and Saturday, April 17 and 18 at the Phil Esten Challenge, hosted by UW-La Crosse. Events on day one are scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
