Diego Caicedo and
Will Johnson opened the inning with singles, and
Kellen Smith drove in a run. However, the rally was halted, leaving two runners stranded.
Evan Fischer started strong on the mound for the Blugolds, pitching 5 innings with 80 pitches, 59 of which were strikes, but took the loss allowing 11 hits and 7 earned runs.
Tapio Niemioja and
Paul Goryl struggled in relief, with Goryl giving up four earned runs in just 1/3 inning.
Austin Curti led offensively with a home run, contributing two runs and one RBI, while

In the second game, UW-Eau Claire narrowly fell in a closely contested matchup. The Blugolds rallied with two home runs but couldn't overcome a three-run seventh inning by the Warhawks. The decisive moment came in the top of the ninth when a single by J. Spring brought A. Thies across the plate, breaking a 6–6 tie. In the bottom of the ninth, UWEC managed to score but left the tying run stranded.
The Blugolds clawed back from an early deficit with a powerful sixth inning, featuring back-to-back home runs by John Digregorio and
Will Johnson, followed by a two-RBI single from Digregorio that leveled the game after a three-run inning by UW-Whitewater. Aaron Skrype pitched for 5 innings, allowing 4 hits and 3 earned runs, while
Cooper Senne and
Draza Dupor contributed in relief. John Digregorio powered the offense with three hits, including a home run, driving in three runs while
Will Johnson also hit a home run and scored once.
