EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's tennis team hosted UW-La Crosse Saturday afternoon. The Blugolds took three matches while the Eagles took four, ultimately ending with UW-La Crosse winning the dual.

Doubles play began with Pablo Rincon and Danylo Ripeckyj winning their match 6-2. The team fell in their other two doubles matches, with Sam Murillo & Andrew Mueller losing 6-1, and Ethan Leeser & Billy Hughes falling 6-3.

Singles play was very competitive betweren the two squads. Singles began with Pablo Rincon defeating Tyer Schneider in two sets, 7-5, 6-2. Danylo Ripeckyj and Ethan Leeser also both won thier matches in two sets, 6-3, 6-3 and 7-6, 6-4 respectively. Sam Murillo played a tight match with Kyle Hehli, losing in three sets 7-0, 0-6, 3-6. Finally, both Billy Hughes and Emilio Monge lost thier matcehs in two sets, 1-6, 4-6, and 4-6, 1-6 respectively.

The Blugolds will be back March 16th as they begin their week of matches in Orlando, Florida.
