CORTLAND, N.Y. (www.blugolds.com) — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire gymnastics team competed as a team at the 2026 National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) for the first time since 2013. The Blugolds finished fourth overall, tying the program's best finish at Nationals and setting the program's second highest team score with 192.800.
Cadence Cordova and
Kinley Rose received their first All-America Honors of their careers in the uneven bar event.
As a team, UW-Eau Claire hit a new program record on the uneven bars with a score of 48.575.
Cadence Cordova and
Kinley Rose led the efforts for UWEC as the duo tied for 7th overall, earning their first career All-America Honors and podium finishes. Cordova and Rose both recorded personal bests on the bars, scoring 9.800.
Ella Montgomery wasn't far behind as she also hit a personal best with a score of 9.775 and tying for 11th overall. The program high was the third highest team score among the six competing teams.
On the balance beam,
Georgia Guynn led the way for the Blugolds, tying for 11th overall with a 9.725.
Jozie Armos and
Hareet Gehlon both tied for 20th overall with a pair of 9.650's and
Meghan Dahlin tied for 26th with a 9.600. The floor squad posted a season high 48.550 as
Anna Preussner tied for 20th with a 9.750, while
Sky Skipper and
Hanna Riha tied for 24th with a pair of 9.725's. The vault was led by Cordova and
Emily Leese as Both Blugolds tied for 28th with scores of 9.575.
At the end of the meet,
Meghan Dahlin, Brooklyn Einck,
Linnea Vasali, Rachel Hettiarachachty, and
Ava Obermoller were recognized as Academic All-Americans for their hard work in the classroom and on the competition floor.
