MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced the Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for the week of January 26-February 1. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's track and field's Jace Stolte has been named the Men's Field Athlete of the Week by anonymous vote of WIAC head coaches and Sports Information Directors.

Stolte placed first in the men's heptathlon at the Warren Bowlus Open last weekend with 4,969 points. Stolte trailed after the first event but won the long jump and high jump to earn the first place finish. In addition to his long jump and high jump victories, Stolte took second in the 60 meter hurdles, and third in the 60 meter dash, the shot put, the pole vault, and the 1,000 meter race. Stolte's point total ranks fifth overall in Division III and second in the WIAC.
