INDIANOLA, IOWA. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire achieved a school record setting total score of 190.925, taking down Simpson College and their score of 189.100. The victory was highlighted by multiple individual best scores, and a second straight 9.800 from
Meghan Dahlin on the balance beam.
The Blugolds' strongest event continues to be the balance beam, scoring 48.575. The beam was led by Dahlin's 9.800, but was closely followed by Harriet Gehlon's 9.775, a personal best and Jozie Armos's 9.750, also a personal best. The team rounded things off with scores of 9.650 from Linnea Vasali and a 9.600 from Grace Gerster.
The Blugolds posted a 46.950 on the uneven bars, led by Cadence Cordova's personal score of 9.725. Ava Obermoller and Ella Montgomery were the next highest scores on the event for the Blugolds each earning scores of 9.425. The event was finished off with Kinley Rose scoring 9.325 and Rachel Hettiarachy scoring 9.050.
On the vault, Cadence Cordova led the squad scoring 9.700. The rest of the team followed in a tightly packed scoring group with Haley Zampella putting up a 9.575 and Abigail Berens scoring a 9.525. Hanna Riha scored a 9.475, and Grace gerster scored 9.400.
Lastly, on the floor, the team was led by Haley Zampella scoring 9.675. The team showed their depth with other similar scores including a 9.650 from Anna Preussner, a 9.625 from Kamryn Andrade, and a 9.575 from Hanna Riha. The event also saw Sky Skipper score a 9.200.
