MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced the Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for the week of Januray 19-25. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire wrestling's Landon Church has been named the Wrestling Athlete of the Week by anonymous vote of WIAC head coaches and Sports Information Directors.

Church went 2-0 against regionally ranked opponents during the week, helping the Blugolds secure two WIAC wins. UW-Eau Claire was victorious over UW-Stevens Point and UW-Platteville. On Jan. 22, Church defeated the No. 2 regionally ranked Riese Thornberry from UW-Stevens Point by a 19-7 major decision. On Jan. 25, Church beat No. 3 regionally ranked Luke Kamish from UW-Platteville by a 12-2 major decision.
