Winona, Minn. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire achieved a total score of 188.650 placing 2nd, highlighted by Linnea Vasali's 9.750 on the balance beam and Meghan Dahlin's 9.700 on the balance beam, in a competition against Winona State University and Gustavus Adolphus College.
The Blugolds' highest event score was on the balance beam at 48.025. The beam was led by Vasali andDahlin's top scores, as well as Harriet Gehlon with a score of 9.550. The team also saw strong scores from Georgia Guynn at 9.525, Grace Gerster at 9.500, and Josie Armos at 9.450.
The Blugolds posted a 45.825 on the uneven bars, led by Kinley Rose earning a score of 9.650. Ella Montgomery also delivered a noteworthy performance with a 9.425, and Brooklynn Einck with a score of 9.325.
On the vault, Haley Zampella led the way with a score of 9.525. Anna Preussner had a similar performance earning a score of 9.500. The team also saw their depth on the vault with scores of 9.475 from Abagail Berens, 9.225 from Ava Obermoller, 9.200 from Hanna Riha, and 9.175 from Cadence Cordova.
The Blugold had a strong night across the board on the floor. The team was led by Anna Preussner and Hanna Riha's 9.650 scores. Sky Skipper scored 9.600, Emily Leese scored 9.575, Kamryn Andrade scored 9.400, and Jaida Fredrich scored a 9.125.
