EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's tennis team began their 2024-25 season on Saturday as they hosted Carleton College at the John & Fay Menard Tennis Center. The Blugolds were bested by the knights 7-0.

The Blugolds battled hard in doubles play but eventually conceded the doubles point to Carleton. Ethan Leeser and Billy Hughes fought tough at No. 3 doubles but were eventually defeated 6-4. 

In singles play, Pablo Rincon won the second game but fell 2-6, 6-2, 3-6. Emilio Monge took the the first game at No. 6 singles but was defeated 6-3, 3-6, 3-6. 

The Blugolds will be back in action on Thursday, September 25 for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regionals in Saint Peter, Minn. and goes until Saturday, September 27.
