DECATUR, Ill.— The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team finished the Take Back the Night Challenge on Saturday at South Side Country Club, maintaining their second-place position. The event, hosted by Millikin University, wrapped up after a solid performance from the Blugolds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blugolds finished in second place overall with a total score of 4-under-par for the tournament, trailing Illinois Wesleyan, who claimed the win with a final score of 9-under-par.
- Nick Amtmann (Sr. - Nashotah, Wis./Arrowhead) posted a steady round of 1-under-par in the final round, securing a tie for third place for the event.
- Owen Covey (Sr. - New Richmond, Wis.), Ben Pausha (Jr. - Delafield, Wis./Kettle Moraine, and Spencer Lynch (So. - Neenah, Wis./St. Mary Catholic) shot even-par in the final round, finishing the tournament in a tie for 5th place. Corey Boerner (Sr. - Bloomington, Minn./Kennedy) tied for 23rd.
