WHITEWATER, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's tennis team took its first Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) loss of the season in a 7-0 defeat at No. 25 UW-Whitewater on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Warhawks won all three doubles matches and swept the singles matches to win the dual.
- The closest match came at No. 3 singles, where Otto Schluter (Sr. - Henfield, England) fell in three sets, 6-3- 1-6, 3-6.
- Billy Hughes (Fr. - Trowbridge, England) was also in a tight match at No. 4 singles, but fell 6-4, 6-4.
- UW-Whitewater won all three doubles matches by a margin of at least three games.
