Spartanburg, S.C. - The UW-Eau Claire women's cross country team finished the 2025 NCAA Championships meet placing 20th out of 32 teams with 512 total points. Molly Heidorn led the Blugolds finishing 31st, earning All-American honors. The last Blugold women's cross country All-American was Carolyn Shult in 2023 placing 5th at the NCAA Championships.
Heidorn's well-deserved honor caps off an already impressive season. The junior runner only got better as the season went on, winning the WIAC Conference Championship running her best time of her collegiate career. She also placed 3rd at the NCAA Regional meet, helping push the program to their NCAA Championship birth.
Following Heidorn's 31st place finish (21:49.1), the Blugolds placed one other in the top 100, and two others in the 200. Keeley Behr finished 72nd (22:32.2) matching her finishing place of last year's NCAA Championships. After Behr, sophomore Jordan Chen finished 155th (23:12.6) and senior Ryann Wagner finished 189th (23:23.4) to round out Blugolds in the top 200. Finishing the day for the Blugolds was Reagan Zimmerman (251st), Libby Beirne (256th), and Saige Peterson (284th).
